Rickeya Feggans, RDN

Nutrition Services Manager, Feeding America

A self-proclaimed "food nerd," Rickeya Feggans, RDN is obsessed with all things food and nutrition.  Keya is a registered dietitian nutritionist that believes unequivocally in equitable access to a large variety of foods to promote health, independence, and happiness in the neighbors she serves.  Currently, she serves as the Nutrition Services Manager on the Food Sourcing and Nutrition Services team with Feeding America, where she assists network member food banks in imbedding practices around nutrition and culturally preferred foods into their policies, operations, and programs. Prior to joining Feeding America, she served as the Health Initiatives Manager with the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, fostering partnerships with healthcare and other health-focused community organizations, as well as promoting equitable access to healthcare services, nutritious foods, culturally diverse foods, and nutrition education for all.  With a keen eye for culture and neighbor experience, she used her platform to elevate the voices of the neighbors she served on the Virginia Peninsula and beyond.  In Rickeya’s career, she works to get people to understand that nutrition is not just about food and that all foods have a place in health in one way or another.
